Obituary for Margaret Rodak

Margaret Marko Rodak, 87, of Auburn, died Saturday July 2, 2011, following a brief illness.
Margaret was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Michael and Suzanna Kuzma Marko. She was a graduate of Central High School. Until her retirement, she had been employed by AT& T/Verizon. She was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, and the St. Marion Sisterhood of the church, and was a piorgi and paska maker at the church. She was also a long time member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Karen Rodak of Auburn, grandchildren Anastasia and Joseph Rodak, her sister Anastasia (Nellie) Stanley of Auburn, her brother Walter (Jennie) Marko of Fairmount, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Anna Marchisin, Helen Pawlack, and Mary Panek, and her brothers Michael and William Marko.
Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10 A.M. in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Half Acre. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St.
Contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church.
The family wishes to thank Joan and Mike Panek for the compassion and care they gave to Margaret during her illness
