Margaret E. Isgar, 105, of Howlett Hill passed away Saturday November 25, 2017 at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born in Auburn, she was the oldest of 17 children to the late Archibald and Hazel Parker, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Syracuse in the Adoption Nursery. She was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church and former member of Howlett Hill Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bowler bowling Wednesdays at Solvay Lanes.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Isgar, Clifford (June) Isgar, Dolores Wilhoit, William (Carolyn) Isgar and Richard (Mary Lou) Isgar, daughter-in-law Laura Isgar Frost, along with her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings Irene Korthas, Chester Parker, Daisy Crim and Mary Prosser along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ceylon, daughter Helen Hammacher, son Frederick Isgar, daughter Betsy Paranteau and several siblings.
Services for Margaret will be 10 a.m. Wednesday November 29, at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. Relatives and friends may call on the family from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday November 28, at the funeral home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
Memorial donations in her name may be made to The Centers at St. Camillus.
